“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” St. John 14:1-3

April and I have looked forward to our homecoming this year for a variety of reasons. One reason is that last year, we had to skip homecoming because of COVID. We missed much of last year fellowshiping with one another, and as the Bible tells us, we should not forsake the assembling together as some are, but "exhorting one another: and so much more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25)." I understand the reasonings behind quarantining and such, but I also believe that God sees us through and protects those in His divine will. In other words, we need to rely on God FIRST and seek God FIRST, then He will take care of everything else (Matthew 6:33).

I think the greatest reason that homecoming is special to us is the fact that we see those who we don't see every Sunday. We reunite with our Christian brothers and sisters, singing praises and worship to God. We join in Spirit and listen to testimony of God's wonderful love, mercy and grace. AND, it is also good to eat fried chicken with our church family! As Jesus tells us in St. John 14, He has been preparing a place for us for the grandest homecoming ever seen!!! We speak about how soon Jesus must be to appearing in the clouds often. The Bible has prophesied every single thing that leads up to the rapture, and the only thing left is for Father God to lean over to His beloved Son, Jesus, and say, "Go get'em my Son!" Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 that we should rejoice and comfort one another with the FACT that Jesus is soon coming to "catch us up," complete with new bodies and all of those saved loved ones to meet us in the air!!! Let not your heart be troubled!!! A better day is coming soon!!! That greatest and grandest homecoming is close. I am inviting you to join us in Heaven. Are you ready to go?

During Homecoming today, our church family began a new part of service called, "Children's Church." Brother Chris Houck did an excellent job bringing the message of hope to our children. Check our Facebook page for a video of that part of the service. We look forward to Chris bringing the Word of God for our children every Sunday. Thank you, Chris!

We would also like to thank The Wagoner Family for providing our singing today, with Danny Jordan and Bobby and Lesa Smith, Betty Triplett, April (playing the piano) and myself singing, as well. It was another great day to be in the house of the Lord! Well Glory! Thanks also to everyone who brought food, helped with the work day on Saturday, and cleaned around the church.

Please pray about joining our church next Sunday. The Lord is showing up and showing out at Big Flatts! It is because we have been praying and seeking God. To God be the glory! We hope to see you soon! We love each and every one of you! Most of all, Jesus loves you!
